THE ACTION OF BELIEVING

“May the Lord of your hope so fill you with all joy and peace in believing – through the experience of you faith – that by the power of the Holy Spirit you may abound and be overflowing (bubbling over) with hope” Romans 15:13

What a wonderful word from God! Who of us doesn’t want all joy and peace in our lives. God’s Word tells us that He gives us His joy and peace as we engage in the action of believing in Him and what He says. Disbelief keeps out the joy and peace we want and need so desperately. When we are not experiencing joy and peace, we need to check and see where we are not actively believing God. It is easy to say we have faith in God, but do we “believe” when he says He’ll be our provider, our advocate, our comfort, our strength, our rest, etc.

The more we walk in active belief the more we will be filled with joy and peace. Sounds good doesn’t it?
