THE GARDEN IN EARLY SPRING

“Let me tell you how happy God has made me! For he has clothed me with garments of salvation and draped about me the robe of righteousness. I am like a bridegroom in his wedding suit or a bride with her jewels. The Lord will show the nations of the world his justice; all will praise him. His righteousness shall be like a budding tree, or like a garden in early spring, full of young plants springing up everywhere”   (Isaiah 61:10-11 TLB) 

Spring always brings a lightheartedness to my soul, as new life bursts forth in nature. This Scripture speaks of being  made happy by God because I have a special outfit to wear. He has given me garments of salvation and placed a beautiful robe of righteousness on my shoulders. Is the righteousness (right relationship with right living) of Jesus springing forth in the garden of my daily life! He cannot come forth if he does not reside in me. Let’s all check our spiritual and moral gardens and prepare the ground for the good things of God to grow. We might even check for weeds and remove them roots and all. God loves you and wants to pour into your life all that He is, but the soil of your heart must be prepared to receive Him.

Because He lives, I can face tomorrow!
